I bought the Safari Chunky Lagoon and Serengeti to crochet a Blanket for my grandson. The colours are lovely amstrad the yarn incredibly soft. However using crochet did not show the pattern at effectively. So I used a left over yarn cake to knit a jumper for my 1 year old granddaughter. Now I can appreciate the colour, softness arms the fabulous pattern. My daughter started dropping hints. So I am now knitting a similar style jumper for her too. So they can have Mum and daughter matching. It is also easy to work with. Thanks Sconch, as always.
Bought this yarn to make myself a jumper, it knits up well. However, every ball I have used has a knot in it and the colour has not followed on correctly to match the pattern. It is also quite easy to catch bits of the wool and the gauge isn’t consistent throughout the ball. It’s advertised as chunky but some areas are probably thinner than double knitting. Having said all that I do like the yarn!!
