It was great that I was able to collect my yarn the following morning from the shop. Very speedy service. Thank you.
Knits up lovely and really pleased with the pattern I chose to use the yarn with.
Great yarn to work with for quick jumpers/cardigans. It washes really well and is less fluffy/shedding than some! Lots of lovely colours too. Sconch was a random find via instagram and the service is fantastic!
So soft and lovely to knit with, the perfect super chunky!
Perfect weight and soft - this is now my go-to super chunky!
Speedy service. Easy to order. Great choice.
Ran out of wool and needed a ball very quickly. Got within two days and finished the garment the next day. Thank you
Great store to visit and buy online. Choice is very good.
Lovely extremely soft yarn in beautiful colours, came extremely quickly.
The wool was ok but occasionally had knots in and was split. You recommended I buy 7 balls but actually only needed 5. The main problem was the Rowan pattern I was following from the book I bought from you. The sleeve part was incorrect and caused me problems so basically made a bit of a hash. I contacted Rowan and was told there should have been an error slip in the book but there wasn't. So all I all not a good purchase.
Hi Helen, sorry you didn't get on with the pattern. If suppliers provide errata slips, we always include them, but they don't always (if we've got the books in before they have realised there is an errata for example!). You can always find published erratas on their website though. If you had contacted me I would have pointed you in the right direction for this
With regards to the yarn amount, as we always try to explain, unfortunately when swapping between yarns (especially super chunky, which is not a standard weight between yarns), it is a bit of an educated guess and can't be done accurately. Most customers prefer to have slightly more than end up with not enough, so we round up to allow this. This combined with individual tension of the knitter, plus the difference in tension between the yarns, can mean you end up with balls left over.
Regarding knots in the yarn - industry standard allows for up to 3 per 100g as it is a necessary (but annoying!) part of manufacture.
Did you manage to finish the garment or did you need any further help?
