This is a really lovely, bright yarn which gives great stitch definition and beautiful patterning. I made a cardigan for my grandson from PT1 and the was enough left to make one for his cat as well!

I made a hoodie for my 5 year old grandson last year using this yarn as he wanted it in rainbow colours. Luckily I made it on the big size but the other day he asked if I could make him a bigger one in the same yarn. Last years has kept really well despite being slept in a few times. The yarn knits up well and the colour changes are spaced ideally for children’s jumpers etc. It hasn’t faded at all despite all the washes.

I ordered 3 balls of Party Time Chunky to make a jumper for my granddaughter.
I loved the colours and it does knit up beautifully but unfortunately two of the balls seemed to have missed quality inspection. One had missed the dye completely and had patches of white instead of the beautiful bright pink. And the other one not only missed the dye but had long chunks of a horrible grey/black colour where the lovely bright orange should be. There were also several knotted joins throughout one ball.
I ended up having to cut and rejoin the yarn more times than I would have liked. This lead to the colours not quite working as they should have.
All in all not an enjoyable project. I don’t think I’ll be using
James C Brett’s Party Time Chunky in the future. Such a shame.
